Abstract: Poinsettia is a kind of flowers which has great value of decorative.Poinsettia flowers before Christmas and last long time, so it is popular during Christmas,New Year＇s Day and Valentine＇s Day.Now, poinsettia grew by the means of medium in our district.The best matrix is Plant Ash,Pearlite and Pelhamite,because it has higher yield and better character.We had an experiment in the pot about soilless composition of different component and percentage, which compared with in the orchard soil. The results were as follows： different treatments had different effects, including leaves number, height and crown and stem diameter,the variance was significant; plant in the matrix is better than in the orchard soil.The best result was plant ash： pelhamite =1：4 in the four types of soilless matrix. We chose the best matrix composition by the method of variance analysis,at the same time we can supply a fine composition of soilless plant in Poinsettia.
