Abstract: Cadmium uptake and distribution of flue-cured tobacco in different Soil types were studied by the pot experiment. The results indicated that Cd had little effect on the growth of flue-cured tobacco under the level of 2g/kg,but its accumulation was abundant in the leaf of tobacco.Without Cd application, the content of Cd in the plant above the soil (except root)was purple soil〉 paddy soil 〉red soil, but in the plant root was red soil〉paddy soil 〉purple soil. The others were paddy soil, purple soil〉red soil, the capacity of accumulation were different in different soil type. The total content of Cd increased with the increasing of Cd levels, but the rate of increasing dropped.Without Cd application, the content of Cd in the plant was leaf〉root 〉flower〉stem. However with the Cd application, the content of Cd was leaf〉flower 〉stem 〉root. So greatest accumulation in the leaf was found, but flower has low accumulation rate of Cd.
