Abstract: The ecological system is the support system of life on earth.However,people do not have comprehensive understanding about the functions of grassland ecosystem.As a result,grassland ecological environment becomes worse,which threatens the safety of grassland ecosystem,reduces or even deprives some functions of grassland ecosystem,and has affected people＇ s life and economic development.This is particularly worse in typical grassland areas of Xilingol.Therefore,profound understanding should be given to the health and service functions of grassland ecosystem,and some countermeasures should be implemented to give full play to grassland ecosystem and thus to realize synchronous increase of environment,economy and social benefits.
