Abstract: With deepening and boosting the Development of the West Regions, the society and economy in Inner Mongolia are rapidly developing. The agriculture and animal husbandry of the primary industry has stably developed, and the industrial production of the secondary industry has rapid growth. Especially coal ,rare earth, natural gas and other industries have rapid development. Subsequently, environmental pollution with the characteristics of wide influencing range and great treatment difficulty are becoming more and more serious, which has become the main cause of intensification of social contradiction. Meanwhile, more attentions should be paid to the difficulties in environmental protection work because of the particularity of terrain, weather, water bodies and ecological environment of Inner Mongolia. Therefore, the characteristics should be fully considered in environmental pollution work in the process of economic development. Only when the environmental pollution was accordingly controlled, a significant effect can be achieved.
