Abstract: With the increasing of diary cows number in China, in cows production large quantities of the manure and urine are widely applied in the fields, as fertilizer, and plenty of the gases (CO2 and CH4),which are produced by normal physiological activities in the rumen of dairy cows, release in the air.The waste result in increasingly serious pollution of soil, air and water, and the elements carbon (C),nitrogen(N),phosphorus (P),and potassium (K) in the waste especially cause inevitable environmental contamination. The paper is a summary about pollution of C, N, P, and K in ruminant production, and the author also give some suggestions about how to reduce emission of C, N, P and K through nutrition regulation and improving feeding management.
