Experimental Study of Different Concentrations of PEG Solution on the Seed Germination of Soil Seed Banks of Alpine Degraded Grassland

Abstract: In order to study the effects of different concentrations of PEG solution on the seed germination of soil seed banks of different degraded meadow in Naqu of Tibet, the seeds in the seed banks of different soil degraded meadow were soaked in 0,-0.2,-0.4,-0.6, -0.8,-1.0,-1.2,-1.4,-1.6,-1.8 Mpa of PEG solution respectively to make the seed germination experiment and the germination number were recorded. The results showed that the germination rate of seeds in blank treatment was the highest and the seed germination rate gradually decreased with the increase of PEG concentration when the seeds in the seed bands of different degraded meadow were treated with blank treatment and different concentrations of PEG solution. Otherwise, plant seeds in soil seed bands changed with different years and degraded degree of meadow.
