Abstract: To study the effective degradation rate of protein and fiber of plant origin protein feeds frequently used in northern China and try to provide scientific basis for roughages utilization,an experiment was conducted by using three Holstein cows fitted permanent rumen fistula to investigate the dynamic degradability and effective degradation rate of crude protein(CP),neutral detergent fiber(NDF)and acid detergent fiber(ADF) of protein feed in rumen by nylon bag technique. The results showed:①The effective degradation rate of CP of sunflower meal was the highest among all eight kinds of vegetable protein feeds, which was 61.17 %;the distiuers grain meal was the lowest, which was only 19.03 %.②On the basis of feeding, the rumen degradation protein(RDP)of corn gluten meal was higher than other vegetable protein feeds, which was about 30.99 %;the RDP of distiuers grain meal was the lowest, which was only 5.52 %.③The effective degradation rate of NDF of soybean meal was the highest, which was 50.74 %;the rape seed meal was the lowest, which was only 11.06 %.④The effective degradation rate of ADF of corn gluten meal was the highest, which was 59.23 %;the distiuers grain meal was the lowest, which was only 11.27 %.
