Ceratoides latens Resources and Utilization in Desert Steppe

Abstract: Ceratoides latens is a kind of high resistant to drought, cold, and poor soil perennial chenopodiaceae weed, also a rich nutrition animal meal. Artificial growing Ceratoides latens could restore vegetation,improve grassland,provide meal,prevent ecological environment ,and combine the ecological ,economic and social benefits to achieve the sustainable development of grassland animal husbandry in desert steppe. This paper introduced the resources, economic value, cultivation and management methods of Ceratoides latens, and the economic-ecological-social benefits of Ceratoides latens planting in desert steppe.
