Research Progress on Absorption of VFAs in Ruminants

Abstract: As major energy source in ruminants, VFAs plays a crucial role in energy supply, so it is very important to evaluate the production, absorption and utilization of VFAs quantitatively in fields of ruminants energy study. The absorption of VFAs in rumen including its absorotion mechanism, influencing factors, research methods and model establishment was discussed.
