Abstract: Jianyang Da'er goat were introduced into Karst alpine areas and crossed with Guizhou black goat to improve the performance of Guizhou black goat in the central area. The adaptability of introduced Jianyang Da'er goat was observed, including the observation of behavior, the detection of production performance and physiological indexes, the observation of disease resistant ability and reproductive performance. The behavior observation result showed that the rumination time of grazing Jianyang Da'er goat was longer than Guizhou black goat. Some Jianyang Da' er goat appeared cough in the early stage of introduction and were cured after treatment, and the incidence rate was less than 8%, no death. The quality of Jianyang Da' er goat was increased significantly in two months after the introduction, and the average body weight was increased by about 11 kg; the average body weight of Jianyang Da'er goat was increased by 16.69 kg in one year after the introduction, which accounts for 133.01% of the introduction and higher than the growth rate of Guizhou black goat. Main physiological indexes of the introduced Jianyang Da'er goat were normal and were basically same as the physiological indexes of the country of origin. The mating ratio of male Jianyang Da'er goat and female Guizhou black goat mating ratio was between 1:35 and 1:40, and the pregnancy rate was more than 97%, and the survival rate of lamb was 92.5%, no dystocia. Thereby, Jianyang Da'er goat can be used as excellent hybrid male for the development of Karst alpine area sheep industry.
