Technical innovation and trend analysis of conservation tillage in agro-pastoral ecotone in northern China

Abstract: Conservation tillage technology has developed in Inner Mongolia in the recent 20 years,and it has achieved remarkable ecological,social and economic benefits.Taking conservation tillage technology in Inner Mongolia as an example,this paper introduces ecological environment characteristics,the research and application of conservation tillage,key technologies and effects of popularization and application.Several conservation tillage techniques modes,such as hill-drop sowing crops,drill crops,tuber crops and grassland improvement,are summarized.Some prominent problems,such as an insufficient combination of conservation tillage and agricultural regionalization,lagging of agronomic technology innovation,low specificity and reliability of machinery and equipment,and the serious occurrence and harm from weeds,are expounded.This paper analyzes the development orientation,development trend,connotated definition,equipment selection and long-term mechanism establishment of conservation tillage in intercropping areas,and puts forward some suggestions for future development.
