Abstract: In the the general election of village committees,serious village bribe-election appears in china.This kind of bribe election deprives of villager’s right of election,provokes leader’s corruption,ruins social ethos and disrupts rural area’s social order.In order to pursue their self-interest or show off their capability,those candidate participate in the bribe-election.On the other hand,why those villagers,especially those median voter,take part in the bribe election voluntarily？This article will discuss the root causes of the villagers＇ participation in bribe election from public choice theory in the perspective of median voter theory.
