Abstract: Recent years 3S technology more and more widely used in Eco-environmental evaluation and land use study.In the article,we used different periods TM images（1993,2000 and 2008）and ground historic surveys datum and adopted the methods of remote sensing image interpretation and purpose interpreted,focused on the vegetation type,land use patterns and other information extraction,analyzed landscape elements change in Taolinkou reservoir district,Hebei province.The results showed that： the area of cultivated land,grassland and unused land area since 1993 tended to decrease,while the forest area,water area and the residential and industrial land area was an increasing trend;different land use areas in decreasing order,as forest land,water,grassland,farmland,residential and industrial land and unused land.
