The Current Situation of Methane Emissions from Livestock and Poultry in Inner Mongolia and its Countermeasure

Abstract: According to the IPCC《IPCC Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories in 2006》provides the estimation methods,combined with the first national pollution census data,the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region main animal intestinal methane emissions and manure management systems volume was estimated.Through data analysis,2007,Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region mainly livestock methane emissions from enteric fermentation system to 689.95Gg,including cows 187.28Gg,other 189.83Gg,breeding ewes 220.37Gg,other 92.47Gg.By 2007,the main livestock methane emissions from manure management systems for a total of 62.75Gg,in which the highest emissions of cows for 33.26Gg,53% of total emissions,methane emissions from manure management systems as a major factor.
