Abstract: The growth period, height, the numbers of roots at tiller node and sowing depth of Lolium perenne, Festuca arundinaeea, Festuca rubra and Poa pratensis were observed among their mixture turfgrass. The gramineae turfgrass seedling time was from emergence to four leaves stage then to the tiller, During growth period, there was obvious increase of the numbers of roots at tiller node, but the numbers of roots at embryo was invariant; It showed the nutrition absorption depended on the roots at tiller node. Seeds sowing in the same time, while sowing depth was not remarkable difference among the different growth period of turfgrasses; Seeds sowing in the same time, growth speed of Lolium perenne and Festuca rubra were the fastest, then Festuca arundinacea was medium, Poa pratensis was slow.
