Study on Available Sulfur Content in Soil and its Distribution Characteristics in Ewenki Autonomy Banner

Abstract: The national project of formula fertilization by soil testing was implemented of Ewenki Autonomy Banner in 2009- 2011.1676 soil samples of 6 soil types were taken from 4 towns and their available sulfur contents were analyzed. The results showed that the average available sulfur contents were 13.1mg/kg, belonged to the medium level. The lacking of soil available sulthr contents were mostly distributed in Xinihe town and Hui town. Available sulfur content of boggy soil was the highest, lowest of aeolian sandy soil. Based on the application of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium fertilizer, sulfur fertilizer should be applied in purpose.
