Abstract: Pest insects cause more and more damage to protected field vegetables. Biological control technique will become the optimized choice due to the environmental pollution caused by chemical pesticide. The commonly employed biological control technologies and methods, including natural enemies, entomopathogen, insect pheromone, anti-insect antibiotic, botanical pesticide and newly-developed biotechnologies were reviewed here, which will provide technological guidance for vegetable production in protected field.
