Abstract: With nationwide popularization and promoti on of projects of farmland soil quality conservation and elevation as well as zero growth action in fertilizer use, understanding farmland soil fertility status has been an essential work. Haggin banner is a project area of farmland soil quatily conservation and elevation. 5248 farmland soil samples were obtained in this area from 2007 to 2009 and nutrents data have been analyzed. The results showed that farmland soil organic matter, total N and alkalystic N in this area were at a relatively low level. Available P was at a middle level. While Available K and slowrelease K were at a relatively high level. In this area, farmland soil was alkaline. Except soil available Si, all soil available micronutrient content including S, B, Zn, Cu, Fe and Mn were higher than the critical value. Compared with the findings of second soil survey, farmland soil quality of Haggin banner has been improved.
