Evolution of pastoral land reclamation policies and environmental impact in Inner Mongolia

Abstract: The land reclamation policies in Inner Mongolia began at the late Qing Dynasty, ended in the late 20th century. It was a century from the restrictive reclamation to comprehensive reclamation. The various policies of reclamation carried out by government which had a profound impact on farming and animal husbandry and ecological environment of Inner Mongolia.
