Abstract: The border of Yunnan and Vietnam is a set of frontier, ethnic, mountainous areas and poverty- as one area and is animportant barrier to national security. If the border is not stable, the country- is instable. Urbanization can make ethnicminorities gradually get rid of poverty-, but should prevent a mere tbrmality of thousand town one side. Considering theadaptation of minority nationality in production, life and culture, the path of urbanization should be actively constructed forthe social adaptation of minority nationalities in the border areas.
