Abstract: In order to study the characteristics of summer precipitation in Chifeng City, according to the precipitation datafiom 1959 to 2014 （June-August）, the distribution and characteristics of summer precipitation were analyzed. The resultsshowed that the negative trend of summer recipitation was main and the rate of 10.9 mm/10a was decreasing. The spatialdistribution of summer precipitation in Chiteng was obtained by using the average precipitation of each station. The resultsshowed that the change trend of the precipitation in Chifeng during the period of the summer recipitation was presented. Thespatial distribution of heavy- rain was gradually increasing from northwest to southeast and mainly concentrated in the middleandend of July .
