Abstract: The diversity of mycorrhizal fungi isolated from Rhododendron dauricum L.in the northern region of Great Khingan mountains was examined for the first time. In this study, morphology and r DNA ITS sequence analysis were used to identify the fungal communities. The results showed that seven groups of fungi were isolated from root samples of Rhododendron dauricum L.,they were Phialocephala; Lachnum; Hymenoscyphus; Meliniomyces; Rhizoctonia; Mortierella and Mollisia.Phialocephala, Lachnum and Hymenoscyphus were the dominant groups, whose proportion of the strains is more than 20%.This study indicated that the diversity of fungi associated with Rhododendron dauricum were abundant.
