Abstract: The Inner Mongolia steppe was the China＇s top five grasslands,and it has great significance for maintaining balance of global CO2 emissions and effectively delaying changes of global climate.However,the grasslands deteriorate year by year due to too much utilization,extensive management and other reasons.At present,the main measures to improve deteriorated grasslands included fencing enclosure,shallow plough and light mount,scarification,reseeding,fertilizing as well as controlling and removing poisonous weeds.Massive research results showed that different measures can obviously improve deteriorated grasslands,and very good results can be achieved as confirmed by a large number of field applications.
