Abstract: With the development of science and technology, the selection and genetic evaluation ways of livestock and poultry have been developed continuously, which have undergone great changes and development from traditional experienced breeding to genomic selection. This development constantly improves the efficiency of selection. The development process of the selection ways of livestock and poultry was summarized, and different selection ways were briefly reviewed.
