Abstract: Choosing green shell eggs of black-feather black-skin chicken with three different productive periods in northern Jiangsu as research objects, its egg quality was studied from four aspects of egg weight, yolk color, albumen height and Haugh unit. The results showed that the yolk color value of green shell egg in early period was mainly between 7-9. The yolk color value in early period had significant differences with that in middle period and yolk color value in late period had no significant difference with that in early period and middle period. The albumen height in early period, middle period and late period had no significant difference. The egg weight in early period had significant differences with that in middle period and late period. The egg weight was relatively stable in middle period and late period. From the egg quality classification, the proportion of A and AA degree in early period was higher than that in middle period and late period. The green shell egg quality of scatter-fed black- feather black-skin chicken with middle period and late period in shelterbelt had higher consistency.
