Abstract: Based on the temperature data collected from eight meteorological observational stations in Tongliao region of Inner Mongolia from 1961 to 2015, the temperature variation tendency was characterized by using linear trend analysis, Mann-Kendall mutation test and R/S analysis method. The results showed that in recent 50 years, the average temperature, maximum temperature and minimum temperature showed an increasing trend, and the increase mutation points of the annual average temperature was observed in 1988; the burst phenomenon was observed in variation of annual average temperature, seasonal average temperature, maximum temperature and minimum temperature.
