Abstract: Scientific research work is an important part of the connotation construction in higher vocational colleges. Taking Jiangsu Vocational College of Finance and Economics as an example, we analyze the current situation of scientific research work in higher vocational colleges from the aspects of research consciousness, achievement level, orientation, time investment, and teamwork. Some countermeasures were put forward to improve the scientific research ability in higher vocational colleges.
