Abstract: Development and use of renewable energy for sustainable development of China＇s construction of the energy strategy is of great significance.In this paper,we do a relatively comprehensive analysis on the significance of the development and use of renewable energy, discuss to ease the pressure of China＇s energy demand,improve energy structure, achieve sustainable energy use and sustainable economic and social development of renewable energy development and utilization of the practical needs and the possible path ：Finally we point out that the development of renewable energy is the important initiatives and effective ways for China＇s economic and social sustainable development.
