Abstract: The occurrence, field symptom and control of main diseases and pests on sunflower in Inner Mongolia were studied, the results showed that there were 6 main diseases existed in sunflower,which were sunflower sclertiniose,verticillium wilt of sunflower,sunflower leaf blight,sunflower ahernaria leaf spot,sunflower brown spot and sunflower broom rape,3 main peset of sunflower,which were sunflower moth（Homeosoman nebulella）,meadow moth（Loxostege sticticalis） and double-spotted leaf beetle （Monolepta hieroglyphica）.Based on these diseases and pests,some suggestions for future research were put forward,which include carrying out survey of diseases and pest in sunflower, systematic studying main diseases and pest,deeply research pesticide applying technology,strengthening local varieties application research and variety quarantine.
