Abstract: The chafer grub is one of the most deleterious underground pest on lawn.In last few years,it became more prevalent in Baotou,Inner Mongolia,China.Underground chafer grubs were surveyed in Baotou area.Totally,we identified 7 species from 3 families,in which Holotrichia oblita was the dominant.Several pesticides were applied to the chafer grubs,and 40% isofenphos-methyl EC、48% Lorben EC present to be the most powerful chemicals for controlling the chafer grub population.
