Abstract: The Naiman in horqin sandy land as the research object.The desertification situation in the study area were analyzed from 1977 to 2009.The results showed that the sand area began to rise from 1977 and decrease from 1989.It also found that the change of annual precipitation and the area of the farmland had larger influence on the sand area.The returning farmland to forest and grassland and grazing prohibition policy played a positive role in prevention and control of desertification.
