Abstract: Aiming at resolving the breeding problem of confection sunflower, canonical correlation analysis was used for its main characters in this research. The results showed that the relationship between the yield/morphological characters and growing period was caused by the seed yield/grain number per head and the stem length/leaf number. The above results can be used as scientific evidences for hybridization breeding of confection sunflower.
