Abstract: Wheat breeding has achieved remarkable success in Inner Mongolia Since ＂The Tenth Five-year Plan＂.There are 22 wheat varieties through Inner Mongolia validation,and six wheat varieties through the national validation, wheat breeding appears good momentum of development.But generally speaking, there is still a wide gap between wheat breeding in Inner Mongolia and other provinces,and some pressing issue, such as lower breeding effficiency,backward breeding way and so on. The article summarize and analyze the main progress of wheat breeding in Inner Mongolia in ＂The Tenth Five-year Plan＂ period,and puts forward some suggestions for further work.
