Abstract: The growth characteristic and production capability of 10 varieties of oat in Hohhot,Inner Mongolia region were analyzed. The results showed that: the growth period of 10 oat varieties were shorter than others, and appropriately planted in this region. Dayanmai had the shortest growth period, the yield of Victory record, the protein content of Emin oat and Youmai, the fat content of Cend2Tomna were significantly higher than other varieties. The nine traits of ten varieties were analyzed with the correlation analysis, the results showed that: the plant height was positively correlated with spike round, negatively correlated with grain yield per plant; the number of main spike was negatively correlated with grain weight per plant; the tiller number and grain yield per plant was positively correlated with the yield.
