Abstract: The nitrogen fertilizer experiment was carried out in Hohhot to study the influence of nitrogen fertilizer on cucumber yield and the content of nitrate and nitrite. The results showed that nitrogen application of 125 kg/667m2 was an optimum nitrogen for improving the cucumber yield. There was a positive correlation between the nitrogen fertilizer and nitrate or nitrite in cucumber when the dosage of urea were between 50 to 100 kg/667m2.The nitrate and nitrite were relatively lower when the dosage of urea were between 100 to 125 kg/667m2. In consideration of the economic production and good product quality and the largest fertilizer utilization, reduce environmental pollution. For getting the target yield by 8 000 kg/667m2,the dosage of urea between 100 to 125 kg/667m2 was the reasonable fertilizer application for greenhouse cucumber in Hohhot.
