Abstract: According to the development idea of ′stabilizing sheep and increasing cattle, grass and livestock balance, planting and breeding combination, farming and animal husbandry coordination, brand strengthening and continuous income increase′, Hulunbeier City of Inner Mongolia adheres to the development goal of ′building a production, processing and output base for green and organic agricultural, livestock and forestry products′ to continuously promote the high-quality development of the beef cattle industry. Starting from the analysis of the developmental status of beef cattle industry in Hulun Buir City, the problems found by investigation and survey, such as financing difficulties for beef cattle breeding enterprises （professional households）, short extension of industrial chain, low brand awareness and deficient resource utilization of manures were expounded. Suggestions and countermeasures for promoting the high-quality development of the beef cattle industry were put forward, in hoping to provide ideas for further consolidating the whole chain development of beef industry in Hulun Buir City.
