Abstract: Agriculture and animal husbandry are the basic industries for the economic and social development of Xilinhot of Inner Mongolia. In recent years, the development of agriculture and animal husbandry in Xilinhot has been steadily advancing. The development quality of agriculture and animal husbandry has been improved, the income of herdsmen has been increased, and the ecological environment of grassland have been ameliorated. However, Xilinhot is still in a critical period of transformation and upgrading from traditional agriculture and animal husbandry to modern agriculture and animal husbandry, facing a series of problems such as relatively extensive development mode, unbalanced supply and demand structure of agricultural and livestock products, and unreasonable allocation of factors. Based on the current situation of agriculture and animal husbandry development in Xilinhot, this paper analyzes the existing problems and puts forward some countermeasures, so as to provide reference for promoting the high-quality development of agriculture and animal husbandry in this region.
