Abstract: The construction of practical training base is the key tache of healthy and rapid development of higher vocational colleges. The practical training base services for the whole process of talent training and has powerful functions, good facilities and real enterprise talent-training environment, which is one of important basis for weighing the conditions of running higher vocational colleges in a new period. Starting from the operation conditions of practical training base of veterinary medicine specialty in Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College, the concrete measures for constructing the practical training base in veterinary medicine specialty of higher vocational colleges were analyzed. And the running scheme of the practical training base in veterinary medicine specialty of higher vocational colleges was proposed from the aspects of the management and operation mechanisms of the base and the construction essentials of the base, so as to provide referential experiences for constructing the practical training base in veterinary medicine specialty of higher vocational colleges.
