Abstract: The change of rearing system from ground tearing to cage rearing was carried out in early spring in 12 goose-raising specialized households. The average survival rate was raised from 84.7 % in ground-rearing system to 96.6 % in cage-rearing, and the average weight of single 3-week-old gosling was increased by 34 %. The resistance to disease was greatly increased, and the finishing period was shortened, indicating very obvious effects.
