Abstract: Different extracts from Stellera chamaejasmel L.were applied to resist tumor (SMMC-7721) to decide the optimal ways of extracting.Radix respectively was extracted by ultrasonic and column chromatography of polyamide, and SMMC-7721 cell line respectively was treated by different content of the above extraction, the antitumor activity was determined by MTT assay. The results showed that the total-flavonoid inhibited cell proliferation of liver cancer cell line is the most strong one,the extract from petroleum ether and ethyl acetate also could strongly inhibite the proliferation of liver cancer cell line, but the extract from ethanol was low,and it also disclosed the relation of total-flavonoid inhibited cell proliferation depending on dose and time at the scope of detection. The totalflavonoid from S. chamaejasme had antitmnor activities in vitro.
