Abstract: At present, the yeast was commonly used to ferment corn straw powder to produce the feed protein, but the availability was low,and the crude proteins content in finial products also was low. Based on the above mentioned facts,in the study,Pachysolen tannophilus which can efficiently use the xylose and glucose was applied to increase the content of protein in final fermentation products. The results showed that the crude content of protein in final fermentation with P. tannophilus attains 209.1 mg/g,and it was 60.4 % higher than that of Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
