Abstract: This experiment was conducted to study the effects of milk replacer treated by expanding technology on growth performance and development of digestive organ in calves, and provide theoretical basis in production practice. 20 newly born calf were randomly divided into two groups with the approimate principle in body weight and birth, namely the trial group(TP) and the control group(CP). The test group started has been foraged training after they birthed 6 d until 20 days, then the milk replacer was used as the only feed sources for the trail group. Meanwhile, milk was also the single food for the control group, the trial duration lasted 60 d. The results showed that every calf can be saved for 315 kg milk from birth to weaning; Average body weight and daily weight gain of calves fed milk replacer were better than that of the control group, but there was no difference between them (P〉0.05). From the 40th day of experimental period, the body height, body slanting length, chest girth of TP were significantly greater than that of CP (P〈0.05). Diarrhea rate in TP decreased 13.16 %. Fed the milk replacer had a positive effect on growth and development of small intestine, esophagus, rumen, reticulum, omasum, abomasum.
