Investigation on Epidemiology of Demodex canis in Zhengzhou City

Abstract: To master morbidity rate of Demodex canis in Zhengzhou City, many cases data from animal hospitals was collected from 2008, 7 to 2009, 1, and the suspected cases was examined in microscope, 118 cases among them were diagnosed, morbidity time and location, varieties, sexuality and age were analyzed. The results showed that the morbidity rate of the disease during from July to October was higher than that of others, the symptom in abdominal part and cervical part was the most significant, then limbs, pinna, head and dactyl. Hybrid eannie and Jingba were the easiest to be infected, then Jinmao, Songshi, Bomei and Labuduo. In age, 1-2 age cannie was easier to be infected. In sexuality, morbidity rate in male was higher than that of female.
