Abstract: The adipose tissue is not only a main storage site of energy but also an active endocrine organ. Skeletal muscle also has the functions of secreting active substances, and expression, synthesis and secretion of a variety of biological signaling molecules, which are closely related with lots of important physiological and pathological processes, tn the present study, the endocrine function of adipose tissue and its relationship with the molecular signals in muscle tissue are reviewed.
