Abstract: A total of 10 able-bodied goats fitted with permanent rumen fistula were used in the present study, and were randomly divided into two groups, namely, Group Ⅰ dealing with dry apple pomace and Group II dealing with the apple pomace added 3 ‰ of compound enzyme. The degradation quality of Group Ⅰ and Ⅱ were determined at 0, 6, 12, 24, 48 and 72 h in rumen. The results showed that the dynamic degradation rates of crude protein and dry matter (DM) between Group Ⅰ and Ⅱ did not show significant difference (P 〉 0.05) ; the degradation rates of acid detergent fiber (ADF) at 48 h and neutral detergent fiber (NDF) at 72 h between the two groups were significantly different (P 〈 0.05 ). All the results indicate that the protein utilization of dry apple pomace is very high; the degradation quality of fiber can be improved by adding compound enzyme in apple pomace.
