Abstract: Forage production was compared between Atriplex canescens which was cut once, twice, thrice and four times in a year. The results showed that the Atriplex canescens that was cut twice or thrice had higher grass yield per plant, 2 713.2 and 2 458.7 g, respectively. And the grass yield of Atriplex canescens which was cut twice was 2.3 times as high as that of Atriplex canescens which was cut once and 1.5 times as high as that of Atriplex canescens which was cut four times. The Atriplex canescens which was cut twice or thrice had high hay yield, and the former had the highest hay yield (1 148.5 g per plant). With increasing cutting frequency, ratio of fresh weight to dry weight was also increased, and it decreased in such order: four times cutting〉 thrice cutting 〉twice cutting〉 once cutting.
