Abstract: Cottonseed cake as one kind of high-quality and cheap animal feed protein has been widely applied. But the gossypol in the cottonseed cake limits its dose to some extent. It animals were fed with gossypol-contained feed for a long time,the reproductive toxicity is easily caused. The research situations on the physical and chemical properties,limited amount of gossypol,and its reproductive toxicity to animals were reviewed.
