Abstract: Banana stalk residue silage was added in the growing process of fattening pig. The feeding experiment showed that fattening pigs grew well and had no abnormal reaction. The weight gain of fattening pigs in the test group with adding banana stalk residue silage was significantly lower than that in control group, but the feed-meat rate in the test was 4.73% lower than that in control group. The consumption of mixed feed was effectively decreased. Based on the preliminary calculation, suppose that 0.50 kg banana stalk residue silage was added in the feed of fattening pig, the cost of concentrated feed could save 0.45 yuan per each kilogram of weight gain.
