Abstract: 32 Holstein lactating cows were randomly divided into four groups to feed with the diet of adding 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6% herb feed additive "Zengrujianniusan" in the concentrated feed. The test lasted for 60 days. The results showed that the milk yield of cattle fed with 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6% herb feed additive increased 4.02%, 12.5% and 14.0% than control group resepctively(P0.05). The effects on the nutritional indices of milk (butterfat, lactoprotein, lactose and total solid) were not confirmed, but the number of somatic cells were significantly decreased.
