Abstract: Alkaloid is a kind of nitrogen-containing organic compounds that widely existed in the nature,which is of special medicinal value. The extraction, separation and content determination methods of alkaloid from natural medicinal herb Catharanthus roseus were summarized, so as to provide certain reference for the industrial production and scientific research of alkaloid in C. roseus.
